Booted via the floppy/rawrite process without problems.
Current.iso burned (at x1) without problems and CD-ROM starts installation.
I cannot make out any images or text on what I presume is the first screen DSL displays.  Are there any known problems with installation on the Thinkpad 380ED?
Any help would be appreciated for this newbie interested in trying this distro on this particular laptop.
I apologize is this issue has already been addressed but I could not find anything elsewhere.

TIA.

fb800x600 did the trick.
Once I could actually read things on the screen the rest of the installation went smoothly (thanks to you ke4nt).
Currently online via Orinoco Silver card.
Nice distro for old/slow laptop.
Rescued this 1997 machine from an almost certain death.
Sticker on the bottom of the case says: "Designed for Microsoft Windows 95" !!

Thanks again.

I started running DSL - Booted via the floppy/rawrite process without problems.  CD-ROM starts installation and everything is readable and displays correctly.  I see the penguin in the upper left and everything hums right along.  I cannot make out any images or text on what I presume is the first screen DSL displays.  It's basically a monochrome - I can tell there are words in the background, they're just not readable.

I managed to get it set on minimal mode to make it more readable, but I still wasn't able to solve the problem.  The odd thing is that the color and ligibility is all there during the bootup, just not once DSL starts up proper.

I've tried shifting the display a couple of times using the "dsl vga=7xx" command for different resolutions.  or hitting F2 and then using the "dsl vga=normal" command.

I'm using a Dell Latitude Cpi D300XT

Any help would be most welcomed
