Hi all,
I'm strugling with the accelerated nvidia drivers, maybe someone can help me out. I'm running DSL 1.2.1 on a hd install. Everything works fine including XFree86. The next thing i did was installing nvidia.dsl and it worked like a charm. Until I rebooted the system. XFree86 didn't come up anymore. It seemed that the nvidia kernel modules wheren't loaded. When I load the module by hand with "insmod nvidia", XFree86 starts up again. I tried several things like adding "alias char-major-195 nvidia" to /etc/modutils/aliasses and then run update-modules. I added the same line to /etc/modprobe.d/aliasses but again with no luck. I tried 50 other things but all with no result.
So, can anyone tell me how to load the nvidia kernel modules automaticly on a hd install???
thanx, Jeroen
