this has probbaly been asked countless times before, but when i searched the forums, nothing specific came back for me

Why is it that only the user dsl can use the mydsl-load app?

second half to that question, what is causeing the the problem in root running it?

thirdly how can i get root to run mydsl-load, without mimiking the dsl user (aka no dsl user on my system)?

oh ya as before in a different post

ok i'm not a total noob, but i know i still have a fair bit to learn, so here what i understand of the problem i'm haveing:

PII 300, 320Mb
Dual booting w/ XP
mulit user Enhanced HDD install of dsl from the dsl-1.2.1.iso
installed from loadlin from a fat32 partition (laptop with no cdrom drive)

i'm currently trying to set up DSl to be my base linux system.

i have added a daily user account "lizard' which has a mapped partition to all my files i want to use between OS's, and have added it to all appropate groups the the dsl user account was in.

and i have the default root account for maintance, updates and what ever. ...........
