Even after setting up a root password, dsl can still use "sudo command" without needing a password. If you change sudoers to disable the NOPASSWD, the password will be required whenever you run sudo. This may impact the way the system works, however, since many scripts rely on sudo without giving a password prompt. As far as I can tell, DSL has been set up to be secure from a remote point of view, but not locally by default. The simplest solution i can see is to create a password for user dsl, and log out when you are not at the machine.
