Hi guys,

I'm hoping someone can help out here.  I've got a Netpliance I-Opener currently running Win98 that I'd love to try DSL on.  Here is the problem... I can't attach a floppy to this thing to boot from, nor can I attach a cd-rom.  What I have done is downloaded and extracted the DSL-1.4.iso to a folder and copied in loadlin.exe.  Now this is where things get fuzzy... I tried 'loadlin linux24' and it takes off thru a bunch of stuff, but halts at 'Kernel panic: No init found'.  For starters, is this how I should be starting DSL up?

Any pointers and suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Try searching the forums for "loadlin"

Search ALL FORUMS and FROM THE BEGINNING or NEWER

My guess is that you are not correctly assigning the initial ramdisk file location, or you are using an older version of loadlin that does not work with 2.4.x version linux kernels.
