I just did a DSL debian install on an old Umax ActionBook 318T laptop. A very slick install for an old laptop. All went quite well.
I am left with one difficulty though. I note that FireFox apparently does not have any java plugin support and I need java badly for one particular site.
Is there a special procedure for installing a jre plugin to this Debian HD install or can I do as I'd do if I were doing a Fedora or Slackware install on a regular box and just go to Sun and download a JRE, follow their generic install instructions and have java support?
