I believe you are supposed to download and "dd" to a floppy, a special USB boot.img that can pick up the USB key, where your /knoppix folder is. --- I have not done it myself, as I am into the live cd thing, so I do not have all the details on that. Apparently, there are very few computers that can be changed to boot off a USB key first, then go on to the hard drive, etc. So, a need for a boot floppy has come about. ---
