I've given up on K3B due to the growisofs issue with it.  Tkdvd seems better, but it still doesn't recognize the blank DVD.  The error is something to the effect of " unrecognizable media".  Looking at the /etc/fstab, the drive is /dev/cdrom1 ..., shouldn't it be /dev/dvd ....?

Interestingly enough, this is a dual boot PC and WinXP can't burn a DVD either.  I found a LOT of internet references to XP screwing up your DVD burning.  Maybe the drive is flaky?

Can I modify the /etc/fstab in a frugal install?  Or force the hardware recognition somehow?
