The flash player for linux is not anywhere near as good as those for windows or mac.  That's pretty much it in a nutshell.  Blame Macromedia for not caring about us.

Hmmm, Mine worked fine i watched a few of the videos. What version of firefox are you using? Perhaps try going to the flash site and downloading and copying the plugins to /usr/local/firefox/plugins again.
