everytime I try to encode a cd under damnsmall in xmms with the out-lame output plugin. I can't get it to start up the encoding process, instead if I have out_lame configured as the output plugin and a cd in the drive, xmms just plays the cd. I've tried just about every switch in xmms in the book, I know this works because I used to do this under ubuntu. Any pointers on getting my out_lame plugin to work with a audio cd would be appreciated. Thanks

You probably need to add libmp3lame.so, which is not a part of DSL.

I can encode midi and mod into mp3, (I did install a lame package outside of dsl with alien), I just can't get xmms to encode an audio cd.
