I used ndiswrapper to setup my WPC54G driver based on a few things I read on the boards.  The card is detected by wlanconfig and then DHCP connect through netcardconfig appear to work fine.

I used Firefox and Dillo (on separate tries) to open a few webpages and then the link light stays on permanently and the system hangs.  I tried a third time with just e-mail and after a few minutes the system also hung again.

Has anyone who has used a Linksys wireless device like this had similar problems?

(I've configured a 10/100 Network Adapter in the same PCMCIA slot with no problems on it with the net so I don't suspect the PCMCIA slot has problems.)

I'm right here with you, I just went through my latest reinstall of DSL.  Sometimes it'll work for about 10 minutes, but others it'll immediately lock up.

I'm not really sure what's going on...

ndiswrapper uses alot of memory.

How much memory do you have?
Swap space does not seem to help with ndiswarpper's buffer memory needs.

How is DSL installed?

How about your browser's cache size?
If you are loading a browser from extensions, be sure to cut back on the default cache size.
