I installed dsl to HD and created a dial up connection which seems to work BUT if I download the cursor must be moveing or the download stops..move mouse and it starts again..if I stop to long I get timed out..this may occur with uploads...do not know...what is the solution..or at least what causes this...thanks for any help...I have an internal modem which worked on com3, com1 is the serial mouse..can I provide other info to help..help most appreciated.

while waiting for some responce I hacked around on this old box and solved part of the issue...I switched the modem to com 2 and disabled com 2 in the bios..then swithced the port in ppp setup to com2...this allows me to connect and download without the mouse movement nessessary....I suggest if you are useing an ISA internal to try this..this is a 33.6 modem but is very slow compared to its function under win95
the question is..why is my connection so slow
