hi
ive been searching and trying to make my DSL box as a router but then i still cant success. Does anyone ever try to do this on DSL with 2 NICs card?
my eth0 connect to ADSL modem and eth1 to another computer/LAN

i did the following things:

Code Sample

echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth1 -j MASQUERADE

internet through pppoE works fine on DSL box but other box wont works!
hmm is there anything i should check please? im pretty newbie to DSL and networking.
thanx

Install the iptables.dsl and then set it up via any standard iptables how too. Not sure if there are any pitfalls in doing this. There are better distro's for firewalling out there. (Smoothwall, DRP, etc.)

You might also like to use webmin to setup the rules via a web page instead of typing everything out.
Good luck, post any successes you have and ask questions through the problems.
