So I have my wireless card, and I am using a dsl hd install.  dsl recognizes this card and all is good.  My only problem is that fact that I don't have any way of scanning for wireless accesspoints that are available.  I have tried iwlist eth0 scan and I don't have scanning support.  I tried compiling kismet, and that didn't work, it needed libncurses which wouldn't compile as well.  so, I don't care how it works, I just want a simple list of the current active access points, and if they are encrypted or not.  Is this possible?  Thanks!
