I think mounting a wireless router on a poodle would be a great idea making any network very portable when on the go.

Okay I have a couple of questions about DHCP in D.S.L

1.) In order to use the DHCP function in DSL  does my machine have to be directly connected to the modem or can it be a local machine that gets internet from the router via wi-fi?
2.) Whatever the case may be in my first question. How do I set up a DHCP server  ? What would be the steps I take to get every thing up and running to where I can edit the config file?
3.) Do you like chinese food?

LOL, i've got 4 dogs who roam all over, if i had strong enough(as in dog proof)  routers i could proably get some serious coverage.  :D

1) I'm not understanding your question, i use DHCP, i have dsl for internet, it's connect via a modem(from phoneline) to a wireless router that's connected with a ethernet cable. the router is the wireless access point that all the computers(5 in the house) connect to for internet.->

2) see 1

3) of course, i'm Chinese/german

haha ok kerry check it out.

thoese screenshots that your showing me I can get those exact settings to show up for me to but what I want was for my dhcp to be on linux and allow me to edit the config file. Which would mean disabling the dhcp function on the router, what i trying to do is get my linux machine hadling all my wireless connections, as you can see this is a very confusing situation which is why i resorted to the forums

look here this is pretty much what im trying to do but I have no idea what this site is talking about http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/wiki...._Server

Ouch, complicated setup. You want a networkserver setup to serve your computers via dhcp over wireless? Have a look at this-> http://www.easylivecd.com/english/cdrouter.html
I know that's a livecd but perhaps you can look at it to get a idea of what you need.
