Hello everybody !

I'm new to linux and I've chosen DSL for an old celeron 366 laptop with 64m ram (HD installed).
I connect to the net with an aironet 350 pcmcia card. No problem, it works fine!
The point is, each time I boot, I can see the essid and wep key appear in the boot sequence, but the card does not work until I manually enter them in Iwconfig... I suppose there's a way to avoid doing this every time, but I haven't found it yet ! (and my azerty keyboard - I'm french, that explains my poor english... - must be reconfigured each time, too

Any help for a poor newbie ? Thanks by advance...

Are you using bootlocal.sh? Where are you putting the startup commands that should be configuring your wireless device? bootlocal.sh is probably the best place. If you are putting it somewhere else, it is possible that the DSL scripts might be overriding your prefs.

Thanks a lot ! Everything works fine since I've added the boot instructions in bootlocal.sh. I'm sure that seemed evident for every patented linux user, but for a newcomer it's not that simple... Apart from that, DSL really fits my needs !
