I have seen numerous topics about getting this driver installed either via NDISWrapper or compiling.. etc.. however none are complete.. from start to finish in terms of whats available with DSL

One or 2 that are complete ie... the Legacy from rt2x00 SF project and the Ralink require some stuff from the kernal that are not included in the Kernal.dsl files.

I am new to linux.. the machine this is in is pretty much a Wireless internet terminal, and a way to learn linux.. Maybe in the future I will install GNU GPS Nav software...

But would some be willing to write up 100% instructions for installing and configuring the RT73.* windows drivers via ndiswrapper? or another method that does not require a full kernal compile...

I have..

DSL 3.1
RT73.* Windows Driver
GCC1-withlib.dsl (installed)
Moduleheaders.dsl (installed)
Modulesource.dsl (installed)

If you use ndiswrapper, you only need to have the windows driver files.
If you wish to recompile it, then you will need the gcc, source/headers, etc.

Since it's better to use a native driver, you can download a pre-compiled binary.
