I'm trying to install an SMC2632Wv2 on a small project - a digital picture frame running DSL from a CF card. I've got a hard drive install running on a 200MB partition, and am using feh to cycle through photos. I'd like to be able to install the frame in a location without a network connection, and would like to get a wireless B or G card working.
I happened to have an SMC2632Wv2 lying around, so decided to try to use it, particularly since it's listed in the verified wireless list. However, it doesn't seem to be supported. When I boot, cardmgr throws errors as follows: unsupported card in socket 0 product info: "SMC", "2632W-V2"
Now, it seems to me that it's seeing the card all right, since it's getting those identifiers. If it's in the verified list, why does cardmgr say it's unsupported? Any suggestions as to how I can get this thing running would be much appreciated - that, or a link to an eBay auction where I can pick up an ACTUALLY supported card for $20!
