Hi everyone,
I am struggling to have wifi work on my laptop
this is a prism based card
Starting with runlevel 2 i can see that the card is detected properly (it seems)
Network device eth0 detected. DHCP broadcastin for ip (backgrounding)
Then after a few seconds, i get error messages:
prism54: request_firmware() failed for 'isl3890'
eth0: could not upload firmware ('isl3890')
eth0: islpci_reset: failure
i have been able to successfully load the driver with ndiswrapper.
any hint ?

PS FWIW I tried Tinyme and I could both use the default proposed driver (intersil corp prsim gt 802.11G 54 Mbps wireless controller)
and use ndiswrapper to sucessuffly configure that same card.
