I think ISDN support was removed from DSL to free up disk space, but I could be wrong.

You could try an old version of DSL like 0.5.3.1

what's the latest version which supports ISDN. I have not found any comments concerning ISDN.

Do you know v 0.5.3.1?

Would you take an older version or would you choose an analogue data-modem (I am not sure whether "modem" is an international term, it's 56kbit) to have internet connection?

greets c

If you have an analog data modem (NOT ISDN and NOT a WINMODEM) then any version of DSL should work just fine so I would grab the latest version (as of today 0.9.2)

Maybe Roberts or John know the answer on old version ISDN changes.  I do not use ISDN so I don't know the answer.

I prefer ISDN instead of the data modem.

I am going to write them an e-mail.

A friend told me recompiling the kernel is no problem to him but is this all that has to be done to get ISDN working on 0.9.2 or are there differences in DSL comparing to larger distros as the debian distro because of the way how modules are arranged in DSL (perhaps even left out) to fit the core distro into the size of 50 MB?
