Have an older system here that I've installed DSL on.

Specs:
Pentium Class 200MHz
64MB Ram
10GB Maxtor HDD
Creative nVidia TNT2 32MB Graphics Card
Lite On CD-Rom
Intel 10/100 NIC

When I first was messing around with DSL I booted it Live from CD and everything worked fine. Recognized NIC and got an IP address from my router fine. Could ping my router and other PC's on my LAN and access the internet. Upon doing an HD installation my network is unreachable.

When I boot eth0 is found and DHCP is backgrounding. Upon getting into the terminal, when I run ifconfig my NIC card doesnt show up. So I run "ifconfig eth0 up" and it shows up but with no IP address. So I run netcardconfig and use DHCP and it tries to send a DHCP broadcast from eth0 but it fails. So I try and use a static IP in netcardconfig and type in all the necessary information but I still get a "network is unreachable".

My network consists of a Cable Modem running to a Linksys Wireless-G Router. Which one of the LAN ports on the router goes to a SOHO 24 port 10/100 Switch located in my room, which has my XP rig, my PS2, and my linux box on it. Another LAN port on the router goes to an 8 port hub from which the other 4 computers in my home are wired from. DHCP on the router is enable and I have max DHCP users to an acceptable amount.

Like I said I had connection when running DSL live but nothing now that I did an install. Cant ping the router either.

Any ideas?

Do you get errors during the boot?  I find there is a "2.4.29" where there should be a "2.4.26"... somewhere...
