Hi, i try to solve the problem with my network card. i have dsl 0.9.3 hd install. when dsl boot it doesn'T recognise my network card (i do not now if it is a pci or isa and do not want to open the computer).  But when i enter the command into the console "modprobe smc-ultra" the networkcard works fine. but after reboot the information is lost and i have to re-enter the modprobe command. so what i have to do for fixing this problem? i would appreciate a solution. Thx

open the /opt/bootlocal.sh file as root user.
add the line "  modprobe smc-ultra  "
save and exit.

If using HDInstall, your set.

If using a frugal/poormans/liveCD,
1. verify opt/bootlocal.sh is listed in /home/dsl/filetool.lst
2. run backup utility

Upon reboot, and restore of backup, your card will auto-modprobe

All three of my network cards work fine when I boot from CD.  My HD install barks that it can't find /lib/modules/2.4.29/modules.dep 'cause it ought to be looking for /lib/modules/2.4.26/modules.dep which does exist!  There's a typo somewhere (is 29, sb 26).

Any one know where or how to find it?  Or just patch around it?

Thanks
