My university provides a home directory over WebDAV that is accessible from any computer with an internet connection and a WebDAV client. They provide a customized client for Windows only (of course) and links to compatible programs for Macs and Linux. The programs they recommend are cadaver and Davfs2, neither of which, I believe, are included in DSL. It would be great to have access to my home directory to save files and settings from DSL.

Does DSL support WebDAV? Does any MyDSL extension add support? If not, is there anyway I can add support?

Thanks.

You might test some of the Knoppix distros, these are the full (mostly 700 MB) in size, and have everything but the kitchen sink. If those work, you may have to stick with that. The DSL folks will make an add-on for popular items, (see the list of MyDSL add-on's linked from the DSL home page).
It may be possible to temporarily use Synaptic to get the programs you need, but once you shut down the computer, they will be gone. Some of the others might jump in here and advise on how to do that, but in the end, your situation may require a full sized Knoppix to accomplish what you want. The Live CD is the way to go, however, big or small.
:D

I have found a mozilla extension that provides WebDAV support (see WebDAV Client). Although not officially supported, it does work with Firefox (I have tested it on Windows and DSL Embedded).

Now all I need to know is how to put the ".xul" file on a USB key and have it automatically installed everytime I boot from a DSL CD.
