Alright, I have a Model 6700G AT&T Wireless Notebook Adapter and the thing won't recognize it. It worked with Linspire and Ubuntu, and im pretty sure this thing recognizes it to, even though it won't work...

Can anyone help me out here?

It's helpful to know what hardware & drivers you're dealing with -
Chipset - Atheros (according to Mr Google) therefore ...
Driver - MADWiFi  http://madwifi.sourceforge.net/

DSL has the MADWiFi driver, it's called "ath_pci", though there's a chance that your newer G-mode Atheros chipset requires a later version of the driver.
Run "lsmod" to see if this driver is already loaded.  If not, try to load it manually - "sudo modprobe ath_pci".  If you see no errors, the driver has loaded and created a network interface "ath0".  You can now use iwconfig to set up this interface.

If you see errors, you probably need a newer driver.  I compiled the latest driver just a month ago from CVS source.  Email me if you need it.

Why don't you submit that driver plus any other config files or whatever else it needs, as an extension so that anyone else can use it?

I previously compiled the Sourceforge Atmel wlandriver package (for PCMCIA, PCI, & USB) and BerliOS Atmel USB driver package, made .dsl packages of them and sent them to extensions at damnsmalllinux dot org in late July 2005.  They have not appeared in the mydsl or mydsl_testing downloads area ... possibly because I placed the driver modules in their normal /lib/modules/2.4.26/ locations, and maybe this is not correct for add-on packages?
I don't feel compelled to look further into the subject, though I'm happy to offer the packages (as-is) to anyone who wants them.
My packages work fine on hard drive installs, and for remastering.  Several forum members have tried them successfully.
