Upon install of live CD (ver.0.520) touchpad is unusable. Touching the pad sends the cursor to the bottom of the screen where it is barely visable.  Moving your finger causes the work spaces to change, but unable to do anything else.
Plugging in the mouse and running ihe live CD produces a different situation:  A popup menu appears on moving the mouse with cursor locked in it.
I have tried all combinations of xserver choice and mouse selection with the same result.
Other distributions, including Knoppix, do not have this problem.

The Mouse is an 'Intellimouse 1.2A PS/2 Compatible' with center wheel. Computer Data:

Can you turn off your internal/integrated pointing device in your computer's BIOS setup screen?

If so, you may be able to get the Intellimouse working with DSL.

Another option would be to go out an buy a cheap USB mouse and choose "USB Mouse = YES" on the DSL setup screen.

Good Luck.
