And it just repeats this over and over and over and over...how can I bypass this so I can use/install DSL? Thanks! =)

Try booting with "dsl failsafe" and see what happens.
See F2/F3 and/or the wiki for more options.

You might also want to check your bios for reassigning or maybe temporarily disabling that IRQ (not really sure about this)

It loads up with failsafe, however, after i install to the hard drive, it still comes up with that error. It's really confusing...also, there was no where in the bios that allowed me to disable that irq.

I'll contact IBM about disabling and see if that helps. If so, I'll post it here for others to try. Thanks!  :D
