I have this toshiba t4850ct laptop that has the following specs 486 dx4/75 16 megs of ram video = WD90c24a2 1 meg of ram no cdrom quickport mouse
I boot dsl from floppy using the mem=16m switch in syslinux.cfg. Evertything boots fine minus some swap thrashing. Heres the problem. I want to use the xvesa server as it will support 16 bpp color for this video card but with xvesa the quickport mouse isn't recognized properly(only moves up and down to the right of the screen). A quickport mouse is one of those funky old side mounted trackball style mice. I can get xvesa to work via a mouse on the ps/2 port on the back of the system. And the quickport works with just a regular svga xserver (as a ps/2 device) but not on xvesa. Anyone have any suggestions?
