Fixed, Ran X config aboot 5 times and got it right.Now All i need it to use the Ndiswrapper!

I had the same problem. If you are on live CD, press F2 at the boot: prompt and look at the framebuffer options.  I use fb800x600 on an old Compaq Presario 1220.  Also, I select xfbdev for  the video.  Hope this helps.
