GNU UtilsForum: User Feedback Topic: GNU Utils started by: boondoggle Posted by boondoggle on Dec. 07 2005,21:57
I installed DSL to my HD without any problems. I then selected add GNU Utils from the App Tools menu. It was downloaded and placed in my DSL directory. Is there a way I can verify that it was installed after download? or do I need to do somthing else?Really like DSL, compact, fast and works! Posted by mikshaw on Dec. 08 2005,01:49
You can use the command "file <filename>" on any of several files in /bin or /usr/bin. For example, "file /bin/ls" would tell you it's a symlink to busybox if you do not have gnu-utils installed.
