Thx DSL!Forum: User Feedback Topic: Thx DSL! started by: rszimski Posted by rszimski on Dec. 08 2005,10:17
hi folks, last night I tried dsl the very first time on my old IBM T20 - and I've been astonished about this small, smart and clever distri. To get a short overview I've used the Live-CD. Right now I got some questions: Does dsl supports german language resp. german keyboards? And: Is it possible to run openoffice on dsl? Excuse my lousy English as well as my newbie-questions - cause I'm a Linix-beginner in general using Ubuntu for two months. Greetz rsz Posted by AwPhuch on Dec. 08 2005,17:41
I think the awnser is yes, yes, and yesLook at the < MyDSL repositories > for openoffice.uci (lighter on ram usage) Also from the desktop there is a MyDSL button to where you can download directly (if you burn the .dsl or .uci to the root dir of the next cd it will autoload/automount at boot time Welcome to the Revolution!!! thx AwPhuch! DE keyboard-support is on. I'm trying to do a frugal installation during the next days. And I hope it works with Openoffice, need to do some presentations. Nice time! rsz Posted by ruex on Dec. 25 2005,10:45
