Just to thanks the authors and contributors of dsl.I were looking for a small GNU/LINUX distrib. to make a web server with an old PC, and I installed DSL in less than an hour on the HDD. I didn't thought that it was possible to run a X server with 16Mo !! Great ! BTW: How can i make a dsl package ? Cheers. Posted by AwPhuch on Jan. 04 2006,20:05
Actually your best bet would be to do a "frugal" install with a persistant /home /opt directory ...then download < XAMPP > and run that machine in runlevel 2 (no gui (has gui for emergency repairs and stuff)) since the XAMPP installs/runs from /opt directory you will have a full bore apache webserver!!
Just 4 simple steps and you will be hosting with apache w/ a webconfiguration gui built in!!!! < http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-linux.html#374 > Oh and Welcome to the Revolution!!! Brian AwPhuch Posted by starcannon on Jan. 05 2006,20:50
