I always thought ATI was fairly common...and a bit easier to manage..as their drivers aren't as proprietary...but I could be wrong< https://support.ati.com/ics....erID=27 > < https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=1176/ > Perhaps you need the xfree86.dsl to activate the proper drivers Brian AwPhuch Posted by Warren Steffen on Jan. 18 2006,18:00
Did you ever get it all to work? I appear to have the same MoBconfiguration (an ASUS sold by HP) and found that if I set ACPI in the kernel (2.6.15.1) build, most of the ATI functions worked. However then the Realtek ether chip was not totaly functional. I think it is a IRQ problem, as the USP controlers and the Realtek have the same IRQ (10). When I do a Ping I can see that ARP requests are going out with answers coming back but i get the error host un reachable. I am at a point where I can go no further trying to get it all functional! If you make any progress I would appreciate any help you can give me! Warren Steffen wsteffen@comcast.net |
