I think that dsl it's fantastic! I've installed it in a 64 usb pendrive on a Pentium II 233 mhz and it works very good! But there isn't gaim... I think that is very important for every user. I've a problem: if I try to boot dsl using a pc with a normal usb keyboard and mouse it takes a lot of time, and my usb devices doesn't work! I can't write or move the mouse Who could help me? Someone thinks that gaim must be put into dsl? Thanks a lot (and excuse me for my bad english)! Posted by spock on Jan. 14 2006,14:26
Hello,Gaim is already in DSL : < gaim-gtk2 > If you take your pendrive from one computer to an other did you reconfigure the xserver ? Cheers Posted by roberts on Jan. 14 2006,17:07
If you have a USB mouse, better boot with xsetup option.

Weird. I'm able to use a USB keyboard without any problem. Even though mine isn't a standard USB Keyboard, it's actually an < Alphasmart Dana >. It's actually a nice setup. I don't even have to worry about the Dana being plugged in when I boot up. I can write on the Dana and then just plug in the cable to the USB port and use it with the PC. I often boot up and launch xmms using the mouse and then sit across the room with the Dana to write.

I tryied xsetup, but I can't select any option! After boot I can't use my keyboard or mouse. It's a big problem, and I don't now why...

I know this seems counter intuitive, but try booting with nousb. A friend of mine did this to get his USB mouse working. He thinks something else is making his mouse look like PS/2. Anyway the USB mouse works after he boots with nousb.
