hello,i'm new to linux and this is the first time, i try DML. i've tried versions 0.5.1.1 and 0.5 and with both versions i got this kernel panic on boot (can't mount root partion..or smth). i checked md5 and they were fine...:( any ideas /edit exact message is: Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 01:01 Posted by John on Dec. 27 2003,15:05

Looks like sometimes there is a clash between your actual ram size and what the system recognizes.Check out: < http://www.knoppix.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3845&highlight= > |
