after mounting and umounting uci's I got the following error:/dev/cloop10 no such device. legalize cannabis Posted by torp on Mar. 03 2006,13:06
i sometimes get this error too. methinks it has something to do with the change back to the old kernel which supports fewer cloops (only 8). hopefully one of the experts will clarify for us....torp Posted by roberts on Mar. 03 2006,14:58
Mounting and unmounting should not cause a problem as long as you stay within 8 cloops. I was just testing this and had no problem and verified the free table was indeed being correctly updated. However, there is a bug which I have corrected for upcomming 2.3 where the limit of available cloops needed to be set back to 8.

I just have 1 .uci loaded but trying to mount another one I got /dev/cloop12: no such device.I have to say I mounted and unmounted some uci's before this error. It looks like the counter for the uci doesn't work well. Posted by roberts on Mar. 04 2006,16:31

I wrote a script to mount and umount via mydsl-load /tmp/xchat.uci100 times and could not reproduce your issue. No failures observed. Anything else you wish to share with me so that I might be able to reproduce your issue would be helpful. Posted by jls legalize on Mar. 05 2006,12:12
don't use a script, just mount and umount different uci's.It's too easy if u use the same uci. Posted by roberts on Mar. 05 2006,17:23
Finally, I see that only certain uci extensions break this. Now I have something I can reproduce and fix. Thanks for reporting! |
