I downloaded current.iso and burned it onto a CD.

I tried booting it.

So, after I pressed enter and the logo came up, nothing happened, the logo just stayed there.

Did I get the wrong ISO? Or is it just my PC, or should I use a cheat code...

Check if md5summed and the checksums match to know if the ISO file was corrupted during the download process.

Something more:
-Know that a corrupt ISO file can be fixed< Fixing a Corrupted ISO >
-Is not necessary you write a cheapcode. DSL can boot automatically anyway.
-Remember that a ISO image can't be copied directly to CD as other files. The option like to "Create a new data CD" or "Create a CD from an ISO image" must be set before burnning the CD.

I am sorry but what files do I run MD5summer on?

Run md5sum check on the file ending with .md5.txt
It is a separate small file to download.

OK, download the file(md5.txt), MD5summer it, go into Roxio, click Burn from CD Image (or similar), but what do I do with the md5.txt file? Should that go on the CD as well?

Checking Wiki for info.

16x, for your information.

Maybe I should switch to DSL-N? Or some thing else that will run from a LiveCD?

(I chose DSL because I am in fact testing it off a Windows XP PC, but if it works I'll use it on an old laptop that can run nothing other than MS-DOS and has a Pentium I processer (my brother managed to get DSL working on that laptop before).

16x is way to fast, your probaly loosing parts. A iso image has to be burned at a slow speed to make sure you get all the parts. I never burn any iso faster than 8x.
