I have been using DSL 2.3 for a while and have never had any problems with it. I downloaded the new DSL 2.4 iso today and when I booted it it does not automaticaly use DHCP to obtain an IP address! It will not even let me configure the network connecetion manually - it says no compatible ethernet card found! I have checked the md5 sum and it is correct. Any ideas or should I just stick with DSL 2.3?

False Alarm - I have now tested 2.4 on another machine and DHCP works - for some reason it is not detecting the eth0 card on the other machine I will find out what it is and post it here!

The network card is an NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller! Is DSL not compatible with this ethernet card?

Hi,
the wiki is always a good deal for checking out such problems. Good look and enjoy DSL!

I have the same eth0 card (NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller) and mines is detected by DSL 2.4 without any problems.
