Your shell is listed in /etc/passwd

the problem is that /etc/passwd doesnt get saved into configurations after i backup. so then next time i boot it will still run bash as default shell.

:)

any suggestions?

try adding /etc/passwd to /home/dsl/.filetool.lst and then backing up???

it is explained in that 'Getting Started' page that dillo pops out for
every new user to dsl. (yeah, there's actually a good reason why
it does that).

Before going through the trouble of adding a potentially broken passwd file to your backup, first try editing /etc/passwd and then log out.  In  default DSL you should automatically get logged back in, and your new shell should be in play.  This is assuming that it is user 'dsl' who is getting the custom shell.  I wouldn't recommend changing root's shell to a "basic basic" one you've made yourself unless you are an extremely awesome programmer =o)
