I have passed of ver 2.4 to 3.0.1 yesterday(when pass of testing to actual version of dsl) and ok i see the penguin with the hat and all works , emlfm etc.. I installed in hd in an Intel-Aol dot station Celeron300 with 128 mg Ram by menu tools install to hard drive..

Then I copy openoffice2.uci to a dir made with emlfm, the same that i do in ver 2.4 , and when click in emlfm the file, emlfm stooped and hang , the background change of colour... more or less the same with a files with.dsl extension...no work

Who is new... what change..

Thanks

Hi,
in 3.0.1 you have to mount extensions with mydsl browser (tool-->mydslbrowser or net-->mydslbrowser), not emelfm, it is one of the new feature of the release with the unionfs option.

To expand on that, if you're still using your emelfm configs from 2.4 you should get the new ones from /etc/skel (or make some edits according to what is in those files if you need to keep any modifications you've made to them).  I believe robert mentioned this in the release thread.

:D

only 24 hours of user panic...(is not the same that kernel panic..)

thanks to mikshaw and zoop..(to answer to obvius questions, dsl become big and with much changes to be understood by a beginer ).. I begin with dsl in may05 with 1.5 ver (actually i record the isos in cd rw)

oo is running ok ... i mount oo2.uci  with mydslbrowser

I change the menu (in jwmrc) to join mydslbrowser and uci tool in the site of mydsl to quick access... easy to do..... open with emelfm /home/dsl/.jwmrc and copy and paste the lines of mydslbrowser and ucitool in the site of mydsl...in fluxbox the same but in the file menu /home/dsl/.fluxbox/menu....its easy to translate menus to diferents languajes
