How to find the file system type of the current OS(DSL)?

Also how to find whether its DSL version 2.4 or 3 ,etc for HD installed DSL?

right click on desktop, look under the system menu for system stats.  If you have it listed select that.  The tab for CPU should have the DSL version at the top (I am using 3.0 so I am not positive about older ones).  You will also find plenty of info on filesystems, hardware, processes, etc...

Answers of you both are really useful.
I am hugely exploring mount now with that.
The System stats for surprise gives enormous info which so far i have not seen on any other linux( redhat,SuSe, Madrake only these , may be i does not know how to find) and definitely not on Windows. Its really amazing.
