what's the risk if i open firefox as root?
what's the benefits if open firefox as restricted user?

the user dsl is restricted?
i have try puppy linux, but the inconvenience is only one: puppy have only root access,if you login as restricted user, the display does not start...
for this reason i have selected DSL.

I don't see any reason to run firefox as root.  Firefox has no functionality that requires root power.  It's my belief that puppy is made to be "easy" in the same respect that Windows is made to be "easy"....easy to do anything you want to the system without the need for a password or to think about the responsibilities that go with absolute power...easy to destroy your system =o)
