I was playing around with several Linux distros some months ago, running live CD and/or installing them on my daughter's old PC. Suddenly my corporate laptop HD crashed without any reason (thanks Dell!) and stopped rebooting. Even using the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows was not possible to access the file system. Then, I ran DSL live CD... And everything were there, easy and without problems. Even wireless was running using ndiswrapper! I recovered several gigabytes of valuable information and, after saving them into two different places... I made a donation to this damn helpful guys who created DSL! Great job! V. Posted by AwPhuch on Aug. 22 2006,01:52
