So I've installed DSL to my HD, and everything is fine except for my Wireless LAN access. I have a Linksys WUSB11 v2.8 device (which uses the Atmel drivers). DSL doesn't appear to recognize this, which leads me to believe I need to build the driver. While I know I could normally apt-get GCC and the Make tools, that doesn't work if you don't have internet access, and I won't have internet access until I can build the driver...

Machine is a Desktop that is located upstairs from my main internet connection. I can bring it all downstairs if I have to, but that would be a major pain.

Is there a DEB package somewhere I could use - preferably tuned for DSL?

Thanks,
Ewan

Just to add to my earlier message, I have seen the DSL extension for the GNU utilities, but it doesn't appear to add GCC. Anyone in the community who might have built the Linksys driver, or who is working on GCC as a DSL extension?

I've seen the threads about building stuff by going into a Knoppix machine and then building for the DSL target, but can't get Knoppix to install on this machine currently (only sees 48 megs of my 64 megs and doesn't seem to recognize the Linux Swap I setup as part of setting up DSL on my HD).

I suspect there's some really easy answer I'm missing, and apologize if I'm wasting bandwidth on this, but am hoping to be able to turn around and rebuild a number of old HP Vectra PII 266 machines if I can get this figured out.

TIA,
Ewan
