Just wanted to make a common error page for the wiki with the following info:
FYI: These are the ones I have seen on my boot from a Gateway Solo 1150 where I ahve installed dsl 2.4 to the hd. The sr0 is not seen when booting from the cd (It has media :D ) but others have seen the errors too.

Boot:
    Error: Block-Major-2
Reason: DSL could not find a floppy Drive
Solution: Safe to ignore/Add a floppy drive to your system

Error: sr0- CDROM (ioctl) reports ILLEGAL REQUEST
Reason: No cd in cdrom 1 while trying to search for a file there.
Solution: Add norestore (or restore=xxx) to append line/Safe to ignore.

Error: APCI could not be enable
    Reason: PC lacks APCI/BOIS Disabled
Solution: Safe to ignore if you lack/don't need APCI

    Error: kmod- failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno=2
Reason: Unknown (Believe to be lack of actuall scsi controller)
    Solution: Safe to ignore??

    Error: Spurious 8259a interrupt- IRQ7
Reason: Unknown (Believe to be related to pcmia ethernet cards)
    Solution: Safe to ignore?

Run:
Error: sr0- CDROM (ioctl) reports ILLEGAL REQUEST
               cdrom- open failed
Reason: No cd in cdrom 1 while trying to search for a file there.
    Solution: Safe to ignore.
Note: sr0 can also be sr1/sr2/srx depending on number of cdroms in your system.

Looks like you already put this page up. Congradulations.

Here is a link for the rest of you. And please, add to it. It's a wiki.:
