Hi all, new to dsl. downloaded the iso and burn it to cd using nero. Cd can boot and run normally under new PC but have problem booting from a pentium 100mhz 8mb ram pc. Have the following syntax:ISOLinux 2.0.4 (Debian, 2003.06.06) isolinux. Disk error 01, AX:42B4, drive FF. Boot Failed, Press a key to retry. Tried changing the Cd-rom and burn CD under lower speed. Same problem. Any suggestions??? Posted by Zucca on Oct. 12 2006,05:37
As it seems your computer is very old and it has different boot mechanism. You propably need an alternative DSL CD image to burn. < Syslinux > is the ansver to this. <------- DSL 3.0.1 link.I had same problems with 200MHz Pentium machine until i tried Syslinux version.
