Is it possible to save my dial-up config to the livecd?.
Currently using LiveCD and floppy at boot and typing
F2 dsl restore=fd0.
Would like to have the backup.tar.gz on the livecd if possible.
Have dupe of livecd and using cd with r-w.
Where would I put it if this is possible?

The backup system will not write to CD, as that requires a burning process instead of simply copying files.

One thing you could do is make a myDSL extension from the backup archive (renaming backup.tar.gz to something else should be sufficient) and add it to a new CD using mkmydsl.

Getting a bit more specific, you could create a custom backup file that includes only /opt/ppp, and turn that into a mydsl extension.

mikshaw: Sorry mistyped your name.
Will leave things alone until I get more familiar with DSL.
So far am very impressed with its capabilities.
