Hi DSL-fans!

I currently use DSL on a 2 GB CF-card with a PCMCIA-adaptor. Has anyone tried a bigger CF-card with DSL? My card is getting a little crammed and I'm considering getting a bigger one. Thankful for any answers.

Have fun Y'all,

I'm using a frugal install on a Hitachi 4GB CF Microdrive attached
to a PCMCIA CF adapter.  It's working fine.

Hello rja!

Thank's for the comment. I should have been more specific in my question. I'm referring to a CF I which excludes microdrive which is a CF II. I'm kind of against moving parts and really a microdrive is a tiny harddrive. Thanks anyway!

Have fun,

i'm using a 4GB Twinmos CF on an ide-adapter. I formatted to fat32 and used the new freedos 1.0+loadlin to boot.

Hi humpty!

Thanks for your input. For now I have two options to use a CF-card and those are a PCMCIA-adapter that can be used only with type I CF-cards and I have an USB-adapter that can be used with either type I or type II CF-cards. One of the reasons that I prefer the PCMCIA-adapter is that I have two PCMCIA-slots but just one USB-port (that I use with my Logitech Wingman Usb mouse). But probably I could use a 4 GB CF-card with my PCMCIA-adapter if I format it to fat32 since I use dsl-embedded.

Have fun out there guys,
meo
