i dont know if said this before.. im a programmer who loves using linux , hence i use dsl and dsl-n. i like to write some gui programs that can make dsl more attractive.. it is hard to do that in C/C++ as all im good at in C/C++ is system programming on unix and linux.

any way there is C# and java to do that and with some jni then we can interface with low level api and give user control with nice gui.

java1.6 runs nice on dsl toram, i was able to install jdk1.6 and do some programming, but i need some one to put jre1.6.dsl in the resporatory. also adding mono.dsl is nice but not really very important.

java is going GPL 2.0.

peace

Is the embedded license in jdk1.6 that you are using show that it, Java is coverd by the GPL?

yeah it would be nice to have jdk1.6 and jre1.6 in .dsl format, also netbeans5.5.dsl would be nice, a lot of nice and usefull programs could be created for dsl and linux in general.

im a programmer, i was able to install and test both jdk, jre 1.6 and netbeans 5.5.. but if some one can change them to .dsl to make life easier, would be nice. :)

peace.
