Hey, does anyone know where i can get the model_k iso at the moment? Or is it micro knoppix? I cant seem to find it, and there is a lot of funny information doing the rounds.I was hoping to do a remaster in under 200mb (8cm cd) With xfce4, gaim and firefox. I am going with model_k on the basis that it is quite compatible with debian still. For example, I think dsl's x-server might cause me trouble, and as im not so worried about space, i thought it would be easier to use the standard debian one. Is model_k as debian compatible as i am assuming? thanks, and if anyone has any other advice, that would be great. Posted by laughing_gas on June 23 2004,15:01
At this point DSL isn't based on Model_K anymore, but is derived from Knoppix 3.3. Model_k is quite old now, based on Knoppix 3.1.

Ok, i hadn't realised that. Hey, "John!" How much work did it take to thin down knoppix 3.3? Maybe it would be easier now to start with a DSL iso? Posted by Del on June 24 2004,04:09

Wow! Thanks guys, thats great! I've actually started working on a slackware based livecd now, but thanks anyway. There's something I love about .ISO files and the smell of warm cdr's!
