I have problems like this that occur once in a while:
< Shot >.
This specific error occured when I clicked on "UCI".
(This board does not support pngs in IMG tag?)

Can anyone explain what's wrong there?

How often does it happen and what else are you doing when it errs?

Posted by Zucca on April 22 2007,16:52
It occurs almost every time.

The problem is that the list of programs available to be installed does not open. It's not just empty. Simply: nothing happens. Except that when ran from terminal it outputs the error message in the picture when clicking UCI button..

I checked my copy of the file (3.2), and line 41 refers to the  Themes tip "Fluxbox Styles".   Line 15 checks the .mydsl_dir to see if a file exists. On my system, this file lists my download directory, where "load local" defaults to.

Edit: oops, wrong file.  Looks like some problem finding the library, info.lst, etc.

I'm guessing it has something to do with ibiblio going down. Try selecting a different mirror.

Scratch my last post; I was looking at the wrong file; it looks like some problem finding the library, info.lst, etc.  Robert should be of help, since he wrote it.  Ibiblio has been up for days.

note: I'm not sure which version of dsl you're using. Before upgrading to 3.2, I could no longer access UCI's through the mydsl panel, and had to use  a direct link: < http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/damnsmall/mydsl/uci/ >

Does this happen only with the UCI section?

What mirror are you using? Look in /opt/.dslrc

What type of install?

Can you reproduce when booting from cdrom with base norestore options?

Have you upgraded recently? From what version to what version?

FWIW, I got the same errors in both sections I tried (UCI and net) which is why I thought it might be an issue related to the ibiblio mirror.

I do not see such. I just repeatedly tried all eleven buttons representing all repository sections. So my questions remain.

If you are running an old(er) version of DSL, say older than v3.2 then perhaps you should upgrade:

From the change-log for v3.2

Improved MyDSL download via the Lua GUI - implemented server side parsing.

Server side parsing makes for a faster selection list and is also much less complex on the client side.

Ah. Ok guys. It's most propably because of my old DSL. I need to burn a new version.

Thanks for help. :)

I too have had this problem and jpeters also reported it in a thread titled "UCI area" in the "myDSL Extensions > Apps" forum, dated Feb. 4.  I've tracked down the source of the problem and posted about it in that forum under the title "MyDSL UCI problem / solution."

Does no one much good to download and use, then report issues that have since been fixed. V2.2 is quite old.
